mezédhes

my favorite activity in greece was spending an afternoon eating mezédhes. mezédhes simply refers to a series of smaller dishes; comparable to the well know “tapas” style of eating. we had the opportunity to sit at a table about 7 ft away from the sea and enjoy a marathon of delicious food. some highlights were grilled octopus, calamari, feta spread, fried zucchini, and swordfish (pictured above).
it was a particularly meaningful and comforting meal for me since greek cuisine is so similar to turkish.
